Exporting type 0

I have just found midish when trying to find a Linux solution to convert
files from type 1 to type 0.

From what I've read there seems no way to specify the export type. The
only examples I've seen are for converting from type 0 to type 1 which
implies that export is always type 1.

Did I miss something, is there a way to use midish to convert a type 1
file to type 0 ?
