Hi, I'm new in midish. I have troubles with playing files: I tried either the sample in tarball and a midi file.
I just compiled the stable version and then the recommended version. I'm using Debian 6.0 (the package provided officially for/from debian doesn't work, I'm using a amd64)

this is the output of aseq -l command:

 Port    Client name                      Port name
  0:0    System                           Timer
  0:1    System                           Announce
14:0    Midi Through               Midi Through Port-0

and this is the output of aplaymidi  -l:

 Port    Client name                      Port name
14:0    Midi Through                     Midi Through Port-0
128:0    TiMidity                         TiMidity port 0
128:1    TiMidity                         TiMidity port 1
128:2    TiMidity                         TiMidity port 2
128:3    TiMidity                         TiMidity port 3

I'm using a .midishrc with this initial line added:
dnew 0 "128:0" wo

I also tried this other initial line:
dnew 0 "14:0" wo

I tried every possible connection with jack, but it doesn't work...

any help?

Thanks,
fortea
