I just got what you're explaining. Indeed "aconnect -l" lists yoshimi
input. And midish tries to connect to it;

$ aconnect -l
client 0: 'System' [type=kernel]
    0 'Timer           '
    1 'Announce        '
client 14: 'Midi Through' [type=kernel]
    0 'Midi Through Port-0'
client 128: 'yoshimi' [type=user,pid=22725]
    0 'input           '
        Connected From: 129:0
client 129: 'midish/0' [type=user,pid=22758]
    0 'default         '
        Connecting To: 128:0

but the connection doesn't seem to be established.

There's a bug to find.
